Ubisoft has confirmed to Daily Star Online that there will be Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs assets available to use in Arcade Mode, meaning your own custom maps and missions have plenty of potential to be a far cry from, well, Far Cry.įor example, you could make a mission that tasks you and a friend to take down a temple in Egypt, crawling with guards that may only be equipped with melee items - knives, bats and so on. If you're feeling creative, you can even make your own maps - and that's where things get more interesting. Once you're in Arcade Mode, you have the option to start playing through a variety of maps - some of them will be pretty familiar to Far Cry players, other will be a little more. "So you can go to your, the bar in Fall's End, and see an Arcade machine, and jump into Arcade Mode from there." "You can jump into Arcade Mode from inside the actual Far Cry 5 game," continues Hay. To that end, the whole mode has been rethought, and is now called Far Cry Arcade Mode.Īrcade Mode features not just level editing tools that allow you to make co-op or PvP maps in yourself, but also pre-made maps by the developers which show a variety of mission types and challenges, utilising everything the Far Cry sandbox has to offer.
